Especially our walnut is unique in its kind and of the best quality. We have suppliers who can offer us the best walnut there is to find in Europe.
Reinier recently paid one of them a visit and managed to find a gorgeous batch of French walnut. On the picture you see a freshly cut part of walnut. The outside part of the trunk is still really light when it’s freshly cut, it then goes darker over time due to UV light. In our tables and shelves you still see this contrast between the core and the outside of the tree, but less defined, the so-called sapwood is a lot darker once the wood is used in our furniture. And once it finished with oil or varnish the walnut gets that gorgeous dark, warm colour that’s typical for walnut.
